SudokuMe
Pure Sudoku. Warm design. A competitive layer for those who want more.
About SudokuMe
SudokuMe is a free Sudoku game for iPhone built around focused, comfortable play. The board has a warm paper aesthetic — soft yellows, dark brown grid lines, and clear digit rendering — designed for daily sessions without eye strain or visual clutter.
Solo play is entirely local. No account required, no data leaves the device, and puzzles are generated on the device itself across four difficulty levels. A full game state is saved between sessions so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
For players who want more, SudokuMe Multi is an opt-in competitive layer. Daily challenges pit all players worldwide against the same three boards each day. Live sessions are real-time races — up to ten players solving the same puzzle simultaneously. Results feed into a global Hall of Fame with player and country rankings.
SudokuMe tracks a purity score alongside your solve time. It measures how cleanly you solved the puzzle — how many placements you made beyond the minimum, how often you undid or erased, and whether you relied heavily on notes. Speed wins the leaderboard; purity reflects the quality of the solve. Both matter.

What makes SudokuMe different
Four difficulty levels
Easy, Medium, Hard, and Fiendish. Each uses a different generation algorithm and requires progressively more advanced solving techniques. Easy and Medium include an auto-note option.
Purity score
Every solve earns a purity score from 0 to 100, measuring how cleanly the puzzle was solved — fewer mistakes, undos, and unnecessary notes means a higher score. Speed and purity combine to determine your points.
Daily Challenge
Every day, three boards are selected for all players worldwide — one Medium, one Hard, one Fiendish. Solve them on your own time and see where you rank.
SudokuMe Live
Scheduled real-time sessions, initially every 30 minutes, with up to ten players solving the same board simultaneously. Join the queue, wait for the countdown, and race.
Global Hall of Fame
Three leaderboard categories: All Time (cumulative points), Efficiency (points per board), and Rising (points in the last 30 days). Includes a country ranking — The Globe Masters.
Resolver
Enter any Sudoku puzzle from any source. The Resolver counts solutions, classifies difficulty, and can solve the board or hand it off to the game engine for play.
Local-first solo play
Solo puzzles are generated entirely on the device. No account, no server, no tracking. The competitive layer is a conscious opt-in — nothing is shared unless you choose to participate.
Phone transfer
Your competitive identity lives on the server, not the device. Moving to a new phone takes seconds via QR code — no data loss, no re-registration.
How points work
Points on every board are calculated from three factors multiplied together: difficulty ceiling, purity factor, and time factor.
The difficulty ceiling sets the maximum — 45 points for Medium, 70 for Hard, 100 for Fiendish. The purity factor scales between 0.75 and 1.00 based on how clean your solve was. The time factor places you proportionally between the fastest and slowest solver on that board, ranging from 0.20 to 1.00.
Every player who completes a board correctly earns points. The fastest, cleanest solver on a Fiendish board can earn up to 100 points; the slowest solver on a Medium board still earns a minimum of 7. Points on a board are provisional until enough players have solved it — once the board matures, all points are finalised.
Privacy
Solo play is entirely local — no data leaves your device. The competitive layer requires a player profile and stores solve results, leaderboard entries, and Hall of Fame records on the server.
SudokuMe uses Supabase for backend services. Google Mobile Ads is included for the optional ad-supported access path — this SDK may collect device identifiers depending on your privacy settings and consent choices.
